The gathering involved a select group of VIPs, top HR professionals and senior managers. The objective of the session was to provide a relaxed environment and discuss common issues that affect international companies working in the Middle East and especially in the UAE around the research topic “What Drives Talent in the GCC?”
The main point of the agenda was the presentation of the preliminary results of leading research from Aon Hewitt’s Qudurat Research Project Director, David Jones.

The research sought to identify the main drivers for motivation and engagement in the workplace for GCC Nationals and Expats living in the region. The final results of the research are yet to be published, but early findings provide clarity of the impact that the differing variables have on performance, productivity and engagement. More than 100 senior HR professional and senior managers from Etisalat were among the guests invited by the Etisalat Academy to attend the Etisalat Professionals Day.
Mr. David Brennan, General Manager of the Etisalat Academy said “There were many elements of the research, which were thought provoking and stimulated discussion on practice impacts, particularly organizational structure versus flexibility; titles; role of recognition in motivating diverse employees; the challenges of career development; and providing meaningful learning and development.”
Etisalat Academy offers a range of solutions from training and development programs in business, technology and leadership, to consultancy services in the areas of recruitment, team building, performance management, assessment centers and career development.
