Overview
This course aims to equip delegates to:
- Design and implement effective multiple assessment procedures for selection and development
- Align assessment centers with organizational goals
- Experience and evaluate a range of assessment methods, e.g. group exercises, in-tray and fact finding exercises, to measure organizational competencies
- Integrate development activities that facilitate learning in development centers.
- Practice objective assessment techniques.
- Ensure best practices in the use of assessment & development centers.
- Make accurate, informed and objective assessments and decision about participants in an assessment or development center.
- Work with a model of assessor skills, which can be applied to any type of simulation exercise in any type of centre.
- Assess In-Tray, Analysis Presentation, Fact-Finding, Productive (Creative) Thinking & Group Exercises.
- Integrate information on competencies from a variety of different exercises, to reach a decision and to provide both written and verbal feedback to participants..
Who Should Attend
This course is aimed at those who wish to learn generic assessor skills. The program is designed for personnel and human resource professionals as well as line managers, who are to act as assessors or observers, who wish to develop a center from scratch and would like clarity about key design stages.
Delivery Method
This course utilises the following approaches:
- Practical sessions, case studies and an open clinic session for discussion of practical topics relevant to delegates’ specific organisations
- Practice feedback sessions with volunteers
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will be granted the following two SHL attendance certificates:
- A &DC Design and implementation.
- Assessor Skills
- Attendance at this course also contributes to the SHL Diploma in Occupational Assessment.
Admission Requirement
The program is designed for those who have limited experience in Assessment & Development Centers and who need to become self-sufficient in their design & implementation. It is also aimed at those who wish to act as assessor or observers at an assessment or development center
