| The FOA (Fiber Optic Association) is a non profit professional society. Their charter is to develop standards for training and certification of fiber optic technicians working within the industry. The FOA only approves the best schools and training centers that can maintain the highest quality in their training programs.
The FOA approves training at the introductory level, advanced level and specialist level. The FOA certification is widely recognized within the industry by virtue of its unbiased, non vendor specific training and comprehensive examinations leading to certification.
The CFOT certification is the ideal entry level program for the fiber technician and will provide the basic underpinning knowledge of fiber technology and fiber networks along with the crucial skills to install and test fiber optic networks to accepted industry standards.
